Records of the Rochester Institute of Technology's (RIT) Office of Instructional Development, previously named the Division of Instructional Research and Development. The department oversaw various other departments that provided media products and services to the RIT community. The collection contains correspondence, reports, promotional materials, and other miscellaneous items. The RIT Office of Instructional Development records contain correspondence, reports, promotional materials, a program proposal, a survey, several articles, and miscellaneous information on the department and its activities such as a handout on the office's faculty fellowship program. The correspondence in the collection consists mainly of memorandums. There are several reports including one that contains department objectives and job descriptions and information on personalized systems of instruction. The collection also contains a promotional packet on "Instructional Technology Day," several brochures, a blank student opinion survey on televised instruction, and a proposal for a program in audio-visual communications.
